Regency Historicals

Kathryn's passion for the Regency period and romance lead her to write more than 10 Regency Historical novels, several of which which are part of three different book series.

The Ryland Brothers

This series revolves around four brothers who must reconcile with their pasts in order to win the women they want as their futures. They are introduced in For The First Time, in which the youngest brother, Devlin, meets Lady Blythe Christian (from Elusive Passion), and decides to woo her with the help of his older brothers. In Your Arms Again is North's story. The illegitimate brother, he has given up hopes of ever belonging in his brothers' world, until Octavia Vaux-Daventry walks back into his life. In The Night is Wynthrope's story. His past comes back to haunt him in the most horrible way as he is forced to betray Moira Tyndale, the woman he loves, in order to protect his family. The series ends with Still in My Heart. Brahm, the eldest, is determined to prove to Eleanor Durbane that he is not the same man who betrayed her years ago – a nearly impossible task since his past refuses to let him go.

About the Book...

Prinny and Czar Alexander's sister the Grand Duchess Catherine, really did dislike each other. Apparently, the regent earned the duchess's loathing when he came to call upon her one day. He was early and caught her before she had finished dressing. What he saw I don't know, but he often referred to the duchess as the czar's "platter-faced sister."

About the Book...

I didn't remember at the time, but the name Henry Westhaver actually came from an old boyfriend of my sister's. I never met Henry, so it wasn't a surprise that I didn't realize he was a real person when I came up with the name. What was a surprise, however, was the discovery that Henry also had a wife named Marion! My apologies to the Westhaver family for making my Henry such a jerk.

About the Book...

The inspiration for Into Temptation came from the story of Caroline Lamb and Lord Byron. Their affair was much more scandalous and in depth than Julian and Sophia's, but nevertheless I wanted to write about lovers reunited under the haze of a scandal entirely of their own making.
